IPL 2020: MS Dhoni arrives in Chennai, gets roaring reception from Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings have got their captain back in the den. MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Sunday to begin preparations for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
The upcoming edition of IPL will also mark MS Dhoni's return to competitive cricket after close to 8 months of absence.
Chennai Super Kings posted a photo of MS Dhoni from the airport in Chennai. The 3-time champions also took to social media to post a video of Dhoni reaching the team hotel from the airport.
As expected, Dhoni can be seen surrounded by fans who are keen on getting a photograph with the World Cup-winning former India captain. Dhoni was accompanied by CSK team manager Russell Radhakrishnan as he made his way into the hotel.

A yellow flower bouquet was handed to MS Dhoni as the skipper received a hero's welcome on his return to the city that loves and cherishes him.
Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla, who was bought at the IPL 2020 auction for a whopping tally of Rs 6.75 crore, also arrived in Chennai along with Ambati Rayudu and Karn Sharma.

Amid intense speculations surrounding his international future, Dhoni is expected to begin training from March 2 along with his CSK teammates in Chennai.
MS Dhoni has not played competitive cricket since India's World Cup 2019 exit in July last year. As pointed out by BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and India head coach Ravi Shastri, Dhoni's international future depends on his performances in IPL 2020 which comes in the lead up to this year's T20 World Cup in Australia.
According to CSK CEO K S Viswanathan, Dhoni will be training with players who are available as the full preparatory camp of the team begins on March 19.
Former India captain Dhoni is expected to practice for a couple of weeks with the likes of Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu among others. He would then take a break before returning, according to a Press Trust of India report.
Raina and Rayudu have been training here for the past three weeks.
The IPL 2020 begins with a match between CSK and defending champion Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on March 29.
