NEW DELHI: Fifty-seven cases were reported from country on Friday - the most in one day - as the number of coronavirus cases rose to 258 in the country, around 44% of which (111) have come in the last three days. Outside India, Italy was the worst affected with 4,000 deaths — the highest for any nation. The total number of cofirmed cases in the world have crossed 250,000. Here is a look at the latest updates on the outbreak of novel coronavirus (Covid19) from India and around the world — 

Air India to send aircraft to bring back Indians stranded in Rome 
National carrier Air India will send a 787 Dreamliner aircraft to Rome on Saturday afternoon to evacuate Indians stranded there amid the coronavirus crisis. The Centre issued a statement on Thursday that no international flights would be allowed to land in India from March 22 onward for a period of one week.

Indian embassies worldwide issue advisories for distressed nationals The Indian embassy in France has issued an advisory for its nationals who wish to travel back home before India's week-long ban. The Indian embassies issued advisories and started emergency helplines for the distressed Indians, assuring them all possible help. 

11 more cases found since Friday evening in Maharashtra

The total number of coronavirus positive patients in Maharashtra has risen to 63 with 11 more positive cases reported in the last 24 hours. Of the 11 new cases, 10 are in Mumbai and one in Pune. Earlier this week, a Covid-19 patient died in Mumbai. Rs 1,000 to be transferred to bank account of labourers in UP A total of 23 people have been found to be infected with the coronavirus in the state. Out of the total cases, nine people have recovered. The chief minister also announced a monetary relief of Rs 1,000 via direct bank transfer (DBT) for 20.37 lakh labourers. 

Around 15 lakh thela and rickshaw workers will also be a part of the DBT scheme. 

On Sunday, no metro or bus service will operate in the state. Those who do not have ration card will get these cards on priority so that they can get 20 kg wheat and 15 kg rice for free, the chief minister announced. Kerala reports 12 positive cases, highest in a day As many as 12 Covid-19 cases, the highest in Kerala so far in a day, were reported in the state on Friday. 

With this, the total number of novel coronavirus cases reported in the state has gone up to 40, including the three patients discharged from hospitals earlier. 57 more test positive, steepest rise in 1 day India saw a big spike in Covid-19 infections with 57 new cases being reported by state authorities and 50 by the health ministry on Friday — by far the highest in a single day — as several parts of the country began to feel the impact of the outbreak. So far, 258 cases have been reported in the country, around 44% of which (111) have come in the last three days.
