HIGHLIGHTS

  • Oppo A31 could launch in India next week.
  • It could be priced at around Rs 13,500.
  • The smartphone was recently launched in Indonesia.
Oppo had quietly launched a new A-series smartphone, the A31, in Indonesia sometime back. The Oppo A31 is now apparently coming to India. Loaded with features such as triple cameras and a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, the Oppo A31 could soon join the brand's Indian kitty as a promotional poster has been spotted.
According to 91Mobiles, the Oppo A31 could launch in India as early as next week. The publication managed to obtain a poster from an offline store in India, which stars the Oppo A31 along with its specifications and a bunch of launch offers. The smartphone will bundle bank offers from ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, HDB Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC Bank. There will also be offers from Jio, Bajaj Finserv, and Pine Labs among others.
But we do not know what the Oppo A31 is going to be priced in India - nor has it been revealed by the poster. If we are to assume, the A31 India pricing could be around Rs 13,500, which is converted from the Indonesian price. The poster shows the Oppo A31 will launch in two storage variants - 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. It will be available in Mystery Black and Fantasy White colours.
For the specifications, the Oppo A31 is preloaded with ColorOS 6 that is based on Android 9.0 Pie. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further via microSD card. The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels. There are three cameras at the back of the smartphone - a 12-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the Oppo A31 is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera, along with beauty mode. It is backed by a 4230mAh battery under the hood.
Separately, Oppo is tipped to hold an event on March 6 where it will finally launch the Find X2 flagship smartphone. The Find X2 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and come with a quad-camera setup at the back. It is also said to feature the 65W fast charging technology. At the same event, Oppo is highly anticipated to also launch its first smartwatch, the Oppo Watch. Oppo Watch has been teased to come with a 3D curved glass and feature two physical buttons in a design that looks similar to that of Apple Watch.
