27 people people in Punjab got coronavirus through community transmission: Amarinder Singh

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Friday said relief in lockdown initially will only for the farmers and that too in a phased-wise manner in villages, adding that there no decision on lifting lockdown for has been taken yet.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Friday said initially the relief in lockdown will only be for the farmers and that too in a phased-wise manner in villages as the harvesting season will be approaching soon. The Chief Minister, however, said that no decision on lifting up the lockdown has been taken yet as coronavirus cases in the state continues to rise. Punjab has over 132 coronavirus positive cases so far including 11 deaths while four people have recovered after getting infected with the deadly disease. India coronavirus confirmed cases meanwhile is reaching 6500-mark including 199 deaths and while 504 people have recovered from coronavirus.
Giving a detailed report of how the state is dealing to fight noval coronavirus, Amarinder Singh said, "As of today, we have 651 people who came to Punjab from Nizamuddin, Delhi. We have traced 636 of them, 15 are still untraceable and we are looking for them."
